Juliana Lemin, a Junior at Edgemont High School, was born in New Jersey and later moved to Greenburgh, New York, with her family. Since her young age, Juliana expressed her creativity in art. As a toddler, when taken to an art museum, Juliana would sit on the floor and draw with both hands at the same time, trying to make a copy of an exhibited masterpiece. This enthusiasm to capture color patterns and shapes was at the roots of her journey as a young artist.
At age 7 Juliana joined The Rad Art Studio in Hartsdale NY, and later started taking art lessons with a professional artist, Leonid Shoshensky. Juliana uses various media to express her creativity: chalk pastel, oil paints, watercolors, and graphite pencil to name a few. She works in various genres, but her favorites are cityscapes and landscapes.
Juliana likes to share her passion for art with other people. At school she started Art History club, where students can explore various movements in Art and Architecture, discuss their favorite artwork, and make trips to art museums together. Juliana also volunteers at local art fairs and other cultural events.
Ms. Lemin’s works were presented in several publications including Celebrating Art Catalog, Edgemont School Calendars and Yearbooks, and Scarsdale Inquirer, to name a few. Juliana won “Silver Key” Award in Scholastic Art Competition and had numerous honorary mentions in other art contests over the years.
In 2023, Juliana had her first solo exhibition at Greenburgh Town Hall. From 2023 onwards, her artworks are featured in e-Exhibit at Scarsdale Library. In 2024, Juliana had her personal art display at the White Plains Library.
Over the years Ms. Lemin also participated in several group exhibitions including NY Congressional Art Competitions at Neuberger Museum of Art and “My Space” exhibition at Bruce Museum in Greenwich CT.
